Relevant.  (Relevent?  Relavent?!)  I just had to check.  Again.

Brute force is the only way.  I went through the same trouble with necessary, but I've pretty much nailed that fucker to the floor now.  ONE SEE, TWO ESSES.  I guess I should start chanting TWO EES, ONE AY when the r-word comes up.

So, when I'm not updating my vox blog, here's what I'm up to, intake and output.

Josh Millard Speaks! ~ my main blog, hq and staging grounds.  Needs a bit of an overhaul, but the best way to know what's going on in Josh Town.
Pen and Inklings ~ (brand new) sketch-a-day plus commentary, as I try to formalize and polish my drawing abilities.
Laundryroom Swapmeet ~ weird crap that people leave on the laundry room table of my apartment building.
Pedestria ~ photographic record of people out on foot in and around Portland, OR.
Metafilter Compilation Album ~ a genuinely great collection of recordings by Metafilter users.  Profits go to music-education charity.  Order a copy!
Polyorama ~ gallery of combinatoric polyorama art from various folks (including interrobang, taz, and iconomy).
cortex tracks on Mefi Music ~ sporadic musical contributions to my favorite subsite.
The Aural Times ~ a (lately badly neglected) singing newspaper; I render headlines as pop tunes.
ReFi: Metafilter Remixed ~ a (always badly neglected) review of trends in Metafilter Past.

A Year In Comics ~ comic-a-day project from interrobang.  Hilarious and engaging.
Rain Shadow People ~ It's Raining Florence Henderson rocks the blogosphere.  Passive-aggressive ninja!
Language Log ~ daily linguisticish opinions, arguments, and observations from a motley crew of academic language demi-celebrities.
Comics Curmudgeon ~ riffing on and around the more cringeworthy residents of the daily paper's comics page.  Learn to care about Mary Worth, sort of!
Polite Dissent ~ blogging the ups and downs of medical storytelling in comic books.  I have a thing for highly focused blogs.
Overcompensating, Wigu, Penny Arcade, Diesel Sweeties, Questionable Content, Cat and Girl, White Ninja, Hate Song ~ the (very strange mixture of) comics I read before I put on pants in the morning.
You're The Man Now, Dog ~ inexplicably, injokey, infantile audio/visual memeplex that makes me giggle helplessly every now and then.
Metafilter and Metachat ~ simultaneously the least and most necessary links on this list.

There's more that could go on either list - I've got some other things in the works, and god knows I read a whole lot more of the web than that up there - but I should probably cut this off for now.

I signed up at Vox with reservations—not about the site, but about whether I'd use it.  I have a bunch of blogs already.  Many, even.  If I were to find myself in a room surrounded by family and friends telling me that they love me and don't want to see me throw away my life for this blog problem, I wouldn't be entirely shocked.

And, well, goddammit, I haven't been using it.  Sorry, Vox.  I actually like you, but I'm seeing other people.

But there's all these cool people—mostly Metafilter people—who are using their Vox blogs.  I have a bloody neighborhood hopping with people.  So I'm torn.  Good people!  Etc.

So as a sort of compromise, I think I'll try to at least pop my head in here now and then and do a bit of the hi, how are you, the kids are well I trust.  Maybe the odd bit of mefi blather; maybe a periodic What I'm Up To update.

We'll see.
